How to dye a canvas bag?
This may sound silly, but I'm not very familiar with the fabrics to die. I needed to find a light color pink or light purple duffel bag and could not find any. So I was wondering if I buy a natural color or white canvas bag, would I want to buy dye and dye regular bag as any other tissue? Thanks!
Pretty much … but you have to choose the contrast to match content fiber fabric. In addition, if dyed, for example, cotton and polyester yarn used is, will the seams with undyed dyed fabric. Rit and Tintex, dyes commonly available in grocery stores, are not of good quality, though. For cotton or other cellulosic fabrics, I'd use Procion MX, the most probable. In general, also wash the cloth to remove all soap, softener, or residues in size before dyeing … this is called "washing." "PFD" fabrics and sewing items need not be cleaned – PFD is "prepared for dyeing. Here is a source of material, white and dyes that I used – in good faith, and have a good help available: http://dharmatrading.com/html http://www.dharmatrading.com / eng/3324-AA.shtml?
