Pink Heart

Heart disease is a series of abnormal conditions affecting the heart and blood vessels in the heart. Eating is important too. But sometimes it seems like finding good food is good for you can be difficult. And besides, who has time to prepare? You! Here are two delicious recipes that can start on the road to eat healthy and tasty for the heart. And they are easy to make!

Baked Dijon Chicken (4 servings)


1 pound skinless chicken breast (or use turkey), visible fat removed

2 Tbl. lemon or lime juice

1 Tbl. course of grain or Dijon mustard

1 / 8 tsp. black pepper

1 / 2 tsp. minced garlic (from a bottle works well)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Rinse chicken and pat dry and arrange in a glass baking dish.

Use a small bowl, mix all remaining ingredients and spread over top of chicken. Do this piece by piece.

Bake uncovered 15 to 20 minutes. Chicken should be tender and no longer pink.

Rosemary Turkey With Mushrooms (4 servings)

This is a treatment that can serve the company. An elegant and delicious dish.


1-pound of sliced turkey breast tenderloin

1 / 2 c. chicken broth, low sodium

1 / 8 tsp. each black pepper and salt

1 Tbl. cornstarch

2 Tbl. Balsamic vinegar

8 oz chanterelle or button, which should be cleaned, trimmed, and sliced

1 / 4 c. onion or shallots purchases

1 tsp. teaspoon fresh rosemary or 1 / 4. dried rosemary

Rinse and pat dry turkey and set aside.

Use a container and little to stir the broth, salt and pepper, and cornstarch. Set this aside.

Use vegetable oil cooking spray to cover a large skillet and place over medium-high heat.

Add half the turkey to the hot pan and cook for about two minutes on each side. The turkey should be tender and no longer pink. Place aside and do the same with the other half of the turkey. Remove pan from heat and keep the turkey warm.

Add the vinegar and rosemary to skillet. Scrap up any brown bits on the bottom of the pan. Then put the pan back on the heat and use it to cook the mushrooms and onions (or shallots). It should take about five minutes for the mushrooms become tender.

Stir the whole mixture aside the broth. It will take about three minutes to become a sauce, thick and bubbly. Cook for two minutes after that, stirring constantly. This sauce is served with turkey. For an elegant drive, the Turkey may be served on a bed of fresh rosemary.
