Why Eric Holder to pursue the case against Black Panthers after they had won?
I admit I can not think of any reason a prosecutor would be reduced from a case that had gained another politician. If there is another reason I love to hear. The videos are very clear and intimidation of voters seems obvious. How do you justify this action?
Michelle blogs about this yesterday, and the Washington Times reports today that the Department of Justice has taken the "unprecedented" step of abandoning a case that had already won by the ruling in absentia. Political appointees career Justice prosecutors pressured to resign in case of voter intimidation by the New Black Panther group in Philadelphia, who tried to scare voters to the polls in presidential elections: Department of Justice appointed by career politicians and lawyers quashed ended a civil suit accusing three members of the New Black Panther Party for Self Defense wield a baton and intimidate voters at a polling place in Philadelphia last day of the election, according to documents and interviews. The incident – which won national attention when he was captured on video and circulated on YouTube – has prompted the Government to sue the men, saying they violated the Voting Rights Act of 1965 by scaring potential voters with the weapons, racial slurs and military-style uniforms. career lawyers pursuing the case of the months, including obtaining an affidavit of 1960 a prominent civil rights activist who witnessed the confrontation and described him as "the most blatant form of voter intimidation," he had seen, even during the crisis of voting rights in Mississippi half a century ago. The incident was videotaped and widely distributed on YouTube at the time: Remember, please, that Democrats called on the alleged politicization of the Justice Department during the tenure of Alberto Gonzales as Attorney General for the replacement of political appointees who serve at the pleasure of the President. They argued that the replacement of nine U.S. prosecutors was a Bush administration plan, supposedly through Karl Rove and Harriet Miers, to affect the outcome of investigations and prosecutions. It sparked a constitutional fight over executive privilege that continues to this day as the House of Representatives and Senate Judiciary committees continue to conduct their "research" about the politicization of this case. This is much more to the politicization of the results that all the allegations during the Bush administration, particularly since the Justice Department and won the case. In fact, the Government had prepared a case for sanctions against men, as late as May 5, before the political commissars with Attorney General Eric Holder told to leave. Holder, during his confirmation hearing, the lawyers had called the race of his Justice Department "teachers" and the "backbone" of Justice. Apparently, the political leadership is necessary for teachers and spine when it comes to intimidation of voters in favor of Barack Obama. So the same congressional committees to initiate an investigation into this investment in favor of voter intimidation on behalf of the administration? Are they going to go after real politicization politicization as energy as implied? You may ask yourself:
