Scale Tape

Always use your imagination and be creative in the construction of these ships or any other children. It is his creation, to be creative when searching for construction materials – May be surprised! When building your project, experiment with new and different ways to put together. Most importantly, have fun!
* 1 tube paper towel
* Box of cereal or a carton
* Regular Tape
* Blue Ribbon (to customize)
* 6 bendy straws
* 1 small glass paper
1. Cut the wings!
Start by cutting their front wings, tail wings, and tail of a piece of cereal box or cardboard. This is a biplane, so they will need two separate wings. I played around with their size and shape of drawing out on my scrap cardboard before cutting. You could get real creative here and make your biplane wings are like birds' wings or dragon wings!
2. Trim your support!
Because it is a biplane. you will want to add some kind of support structure between the two wings to the main facade will keep separate, but linked together at the same time.
WING STRUTS.
Simply cut four rectangles that were all the same size, about 1.5 inches by 3.5 inches in size. Then cut the sides a bit to that look good.
3. Collect your propeller and engine mounting hardware!
For me the propeller and motor assembly, I scored six holes on the side, near the bottom of my paper cup. Also carefully made a small hole in the center of the bottom of the cup was slightly larger than a straw.
4. Insert the straw!
Now just enter your curved straws into the holes on the side of them and the seat you want. These are the exhaust pipes for your engine. It is possible you need to tape in place if not held firmly in mind. If you go to color or cover all their pieces on tape for your biplane, you should make the first part.
5. Make your propeller Shaft!
For my propeller shaft, I took a small piece of waste straw, wrapped some tape around one end, and inserted through the hole in the bottom of my glass. I then added some tape to hold it in place.
6. Add your propeller!
My helix was cut from an old cereal box. I took a design I liked, stop it and punched a hole in the center of it. Make sure the hole is bigger its propeller shaft of straw. Now drop your prop and see if it turns!
7. Connect your engine!
All that remains is to wrap some tape around the straw comprising its propeller shaft. Be sure to add the tape out of the helix, a bit so you can rotate. Now plop in front of your Biplane and thus looks like a propeller and motor assembly to me!
8. Cover the sides with tape!
At this point, you could paste all the parts together and start playing with his biplane! What I did was to cover all my parts with tape before I mounted my biplane. I added blue tape in the assembly of engines and props wing, together with a strip at the top of the wing ends. It looks really cool!
9. Tape the fuselage in the main wing!
Next I recorded the fuselage or main body in my lower wing. Then carefully recorded four wing struts into place. I played a bit with its location and liked the look of two struts inserted at the side of the fuselage, and the other two placed near the ends of the wings. Also my engine mount installed at this time and decided to add a hole in the fuselage of the cabin. I pencil First, as is the size and shape that I liked, stop, and then added a blue ribbon around the hole to make it look nice.
10. Connect your tail!
For the tail section, you will have saved the tail on the tail wing.
Then carefully mark and cut three slots assembly to fall in line on the fuselage of his biplane. I was very careful about cutting the top slot for my tail straight up through, and that the slots I cut were not so great that my assembly from sliding around when you insert them. The tail assembly must fit into their slots nice and comfortable.
11. Add details!
I added some more details as I made some decals for drawing a circle on a piece of tape. Color after a "# 1 "on it and accented with red and yellow markers, and eventually performed and recorded by the tail and upper wing. I've also added some wheels on my biplane. Maybe you could add some pontoons for landing on water instead. To see how to make pontoons, check out this project!
12. Have fun!
As with most construction projects, it is never really "finish" point. I could keep adding and adding smaller details to him, and you can too! At any time I am back, looking at it and say "COOL!" It's done! " Other times, I'll watch it again and think something else to do it. No matter the case, always remember to have fun, experiment and try using different materials and shapes to put together!
